Between the two, TUP-V maayo gid in terms of Facilities,Environment,Instructors and management.

TUP-Taguig deteriorated na ang facilities pigaw maintenance ihambal mo na tanan ara sa TUP-Taguig. Inspite of these TUP-Taguig has produced FIRST PLACER in ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING BOARD EXAM at the same time First placer sa Master Electrician .According to Philippine Regulation Commission and Integrated Institute of Electrical Engineers the excellent performance is first time in their history because he is the same guy who took the exam.

My question,Nakapagproduce na ba FIRST PLACER ang TUP-V?
(if ever may ara na sa ME or ECE please update because as far as I know damo board placer and as far as I remember 3rd placer sa ME down to 20th Placer pa lang)

If you want to proceed engg kag gaobra ka sa manila :No choice TUP-Taguig

Kung gusto maayo nga tudloanay pero full time student (wala obra/bawas sa work experience) sa TUP-V ka pare!

Madugang ko lang no? Ang placement sa top sumtnings sa mga board exams are not actually the barometer sa standard and quality of education, but rather the passing percentage with respect to the batch, bisan wala placer but all the members of the batch who took the exam passed, well and then it can be said that the quality of teaching is of high value, whereas, even if there is a first placer but he alone only passed the exam, then it cannot speak and represent to the quality of teaching, considering the whole picture. It is more of individual achievement. Just my 0.02. <_<

i agree k iceman..nalimtan ko ang name sang ginatumod mo YOSHIYAHU nga nag top sa board exam ka electrical. according to my teachers here in taguig, bright man gid na sya ya nga bata. pero kung paga storyahan ta ang quality sang education ka school as a whole, pigaw gid di ya sa taguig compare sa visayas. pero syempre as what you've said kun ari ka di sa manila kag ga-work ka di kag gaskwela, no choice ka but to proceed here in taguig.

in history of TUP-Taguig diutay lang ga graduate sa ME ,EE,ECE and CE compare to TUP-V kag diutay lang ang may lakas loob kuha board exam. If read newspaper about top engineering school TUP-Visayas is always on the list unlike TUP-Taguig wala sa listahan.Why?kay di kadab-ot sa minimum reqd number of examinee.Just tell u some data April 2000 ME board TUP-T 6 out of 7 (Their name was included in the list of passers of TUP-Manila and make new record for TUP-manila as Rank #2 in top performing schools)
Heres another :Oct 2003 all 4 TUP-T ME grad pass Board exam (all grads of TUP-V technician)
Tsakto ka gid nga ang top performing schools wala nagabase sa topnotchers produce but to number of board passers the school has produced depending on its category.

The rivalry was there, ever since. Sa mga skills competition, VTI and MTI guid ya nag nagabakbakanay. Bisan sa obra, maaangas guid ya taga-MTI. Ato bala daw sila lang technically enclined. Bwe-he-he. Lots of experiences na eh... maayo pa makisama ang mga taga TUP-main.

2yrs ago ng inquire ka batch ko (ME 2000) sa TUP-Manila. ask sa registrar if credited man mga subjects ky plan nya mg take elec. engineering. gn disregard sya. ila reason since subsidized sg gov’t ni, ihatag naman ang slot/chance sa iban….

anybody nka experience sini? my punto man, but what if gusto mo pa mg schooling liwat!!!!

dapat batunon na ya. since we are sister schools diba? they have to take into consideration nga wala pa ka tapos skwela ang isa ka student kung magproceed so dapat they should take the opportunity na pataposon ang isa ka student from any TUP school. (may punto man ko?) hehehe

ang if proceed ka kay mostly sa lain na nga eskwelahan sila ga proceed...except if gusto sila mag masteral, which is amo lang na ang ginaoffer sa tup-v para sa gusto mag proceed....


i dont know if amo pani gihapon...amo lang na ang akon nabala-an during sa didto pako sa tup-v....

i dont think nga unfair na sila kay naga sunod lang na sila sa rule....

Just my personal opinion,I think TUP-Manila has the right not to accept for the reason stated that he will take another course (Note: ME to continue as EE).Nagastahon na ang gobyerno sa iya tapos kuha-on nya naman ang 1 ka slot sa EE it make sense na di na sya napagbigyan.
Personally I also attempt to take EE sa TUP-Main (Im also ME grad from TUP_V)But they did not allow me instead they advise me to make MSME na lang which is right naman.

Another scenario:
Kon technology grad sya from any TUP-Campus pwede sya magpadayon sa eskwela sa any TUP-Campus man.Say Elex tech to ECE or RAC,MEch Tech,E-Mech to BSME, Elect. tech to BSEE. etc.

Different Program Implementation
Sa TUP-Visayas
2 options ang Pagkuha sa BS ECE or BSME
1. Fresh Entry sa Engineering Program (With NSAT/NCEE)
2. Only TUP-V tech grad lang (After Several Years of Industrial Experience)ang pwede mag patuloy sa Engineering but they have to take some subjects.

Sa TUP-Taguig
Ladderize Engineering program is Implemented( BS and B.Eng)
Meaning after you finished The technician program plus a minimum year of industrial experience and preferably currently working in related industry you are qualified to continue your degree if you passed the entrance exam and your GPA is acceptable (NO NSAT/NCEE Required).They accept grad from different technical Institution Don Bosco,TUP-V, TUP-T, TUP-C,TUP-M ,IIT,Meralco Foundation among others.
They cater the need of individual and company specialy those working students to earned a degree to a place a better position in their company.

Its a matter of University Policy But it doesnt mean that TUP deprived your freedom to study.

Take note the guy from TUP-V is a MECH grad and he wants to take ANOTHER course EE> from Mechl to Electrical is not finishing Mechanical Engineering! Its two different thing Power Production is not the same with Power Distribution.

If the guy is electrical tech and wants to earned BSEE sa TUP-Manila tapos wala sya ginpasugtan sa iya luyag ti lain naman ni ya nga istorya pwede na nsya istoryahan sang ginagmay.The same with from mechl. tech. to BSME or B.Eng man nga Course.

ah k. so thats the rules of tup. so we have no choice but accept. pero are there any other things nga masuggest about that topic?

Sad to know that! Most of the Regular Engineering Instructors sa TUP-Taguig nag abroad pinili ang big A that offers a greener pasture.
May nabilin pa naman siguro nga mga gung-an kag maayo magtudlo da sa TUP-Taguig.

Mas maayo ang TUP-VISAYAS compare sa TUP-TAGUIG labi na gid ang Engineering

Sa tuguig ang eng'g course start to 17:30-21:00.

Wala lang ko kabalo sa Technician course nila kung maayo man.Pero ang mga classmates ko na TUP-T technicians na nagproceed man eng'g sa Tuguig daw maayo man.

Kung gawork ka na sa in Manila or Cavite/Laguna kag gusto mo magproceed Eng'g course, practical na lng mga migo sa Taguig kay gis-a makaintyinde man ang mga proffessor sang sitwasyon kung malate ka kay halin ka pa sa work.

Isa ako gale ka nagproceed sa TUP-Taguig.Last 2005 lang ko naggraduate.Pero nagrad ako sa TUP-V 2001 (EMT)

Ang sa akon lang bisan diin pa ta nga eskwelahan basta willing ka makatuon sang tanan,ara na sa aton
